This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at! And we have travelled quite a bit over the years. The view is stunning (especially if you have a room that overlooks the lagoon). The pool is the cleanest we have seen in south africa and has nice and comfortable chairs. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was also great. The staff was the friendliest we have met and very helpful with anything. But mostly we loved how thoughtful, welcoming and kind the owner Mark was! He treated us like family. We would recommand this place to anyone who asks!

Spectacular views, beautiful room, comfortable and clean, excellent staff, Liesl and team were amazing. Owner Mark was super helpful and friendly, he certainly sets the trend and energy at this establishment. Breakfast was delicious, my daughter devoured the pancakes. Thank you Liesl for the awesome suggestions made on activities to do, where to visit and eat. She considered our special vegetarian diet and suggested accordingly, outstanding suggestions. Wished we had more time to spend.

Professional, warm, and super accommodating staff who went above and beyond to assist with several requests - from restaurant bookings to taxi services, special dietary requirements, and more. Special mention to Liesl and Rico. Stayed in the penthouse suites - superb views over the lagoon; suites are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Complimentary drinks from the mini bar are a nice touch and the gin cocktails mixed by Rico were an added treat. Yay for the staff who found medication I had misplaced and returned it to my room.

Mark and his wife and team are such great hosts! excellent recommendations to do things around nysna but also for the rest of our trip, they book best restaurants for you and the breakfast is amazing. we stayed in two rooms and extended after first night. such a great place, we will come again!

The location is really good, with great views. Clean, large, well presented rooms with great facilities. Breakfast was really good with great choices, staff were super helpful and it was nice we got to meet the owner on our last day.

The room was absolutely fantastic with a killer view over the lagoon. We loved every second being there. And Mark and Liesl were the perfect hosts, very friendly and so helpful. When we are in ZA next time we are definitely back at Kanonkop House.

The staff is so wonderful, the rooms are beautiful, clean and modern, loved the bath with all bath supplies to make it a romantic experience. The free drinks (yes!), heated and large pool, comfortable beds, great view, good location..

Beautiful property run by a warm friendly couple and their amazing staff, the rooms are stunning as are the views. Fantastic breakfast freshly prepared with huge choice of options. A must stay if you are visiting Knysna!
